In COMAP since 2016
After obtaining my baccalauréat in engineering sciences, I obtained a senior technician certificate in computer science, finishing top of my year. This allowed me to take – and pass - the entrance exam at the Ecole des Mines d’Alès engineering school, to train as a computer and network engineer.
My professional experience
After some summer jobs and short internships, I did a three-year internship during my time at engineering school, working as an application manager at EDF’s nuclear power plant in Tricastin, in the south of France. Through this position, I discovered the industrial environment of the energy sector and got experience in information systems, databases and business intelligence.
My entry at COMAP
I joined COMAP in September 2016 at the end of my engineering studies as a junior application manager.
My daily work at COMAP
At COMAP, there is no time to get bored, thanks to the varied projects and responsibilities. Within the IT department, my missions are varied, from setting up a mobility logistics module for one of our subsidiaries, to automating information exchange with our customers, without forgetting developing and setting up training courses on our ERP.
I am in daily contact with my counterparts at our customers as well as IT colleagues within the company. The IT team and I are responsible for the proper functioning of group hardware, but also applications.
The "little extras" I appreciate at COMAP
Coming from a big group, what I like at COMAP is the proximity between employees. Relations are always good and even in hard situations, there is always the will to find a solution.
For my part, I feel that there is a real desire from management to make me feel happy in my job. I have been able to develop my role according to my personal goals and also the needs of the department.
Finally, COMAP is in a real process of continuous improvement, especially with the launch in 2017 of a five-year company project, in which I have been able to take part.
