Director of Information Systems
In COMAP since 2017
I graduated from the INSA Lyon engineering school, with a specialisation in IT. During my studies, I had the opportunity to carry out a five-month work placement in England, which allowed me very early on in my career to experience working in an international environment.
My professional experience
After five years at an IT services company in both a technical and commercial role, I joined the Olympique Lyonnais football team in 2006. I worked as an internal consultant for the club, advising it on how to diversify its activities. Then, as Head of Information Systems, I worked on its project to build a new stadium, developing a platform of digital services to improve the experience for spectators.
In 2014, I joined Restalliance (mass catering for the health sector), to create a new Information Systems department. With a team of around 15 people, this department acts as a separate business unit within the group, developing and marketing value-added digital services and helping the company to diversify its activities, whilst also reinforcing its expertise in health.
My entry at COMAP
I joined COMAP in November 2017, following the retirement of the previous Director of Information Systems. I had two objectives: to build on the solid foundations left by my predecessor and to propose new ideas, particularly in the field of digital services.
My daily work at COMAP
COMAP operates in a very international environment. I can start my day speaking on the phone to colleagues in China, then exchange e-mails with the team in Greece, while instant messaging with colleagues in Barcelona. My team and I manage and take part in very cross-functional projects, which involve these wide-ranging exchanges across the group.
For example, we work on projects such as the installation of warehouse management software for one of our sites, the finalisation of group dashboards; the interconnection of our different data sources, major changes to our client interface and the harmonisation of our suite of collaborative tools (and associated best practices) for the whole group.
The "little extras" I appreciate at COMAP
COMAP has strengthened its project management with the arrival of a Project Management Officer (PMO). This is extremely helpful to harmonise practices across the group and is a major advantage when working in an international environment, as we do at COMAP.
In addition, our company project helps us to go beyond the usual annual timelines (budget, results, KPIs) and think ahead to five years from now. This company project has been built and deployed in a collaborative manner, giving the group strength and consistency.
And for those employees based in Lyon, how could I not mention our company canteen, which is so convenient and where we can enjoy balanced meals every day!
